Local Dance (for local people!)

Here’s one for any of the local mum’s who still read this blog – and are looking for something to help them to put some cheer into the grey days of winter, maybe even get back in shape post xmas.

Zumba: I am regularly cheered by it.

And if you are looking for a local dance class that is cheerful, open and welcoming, you can’t do worse than one run by Siobhan, who runs a range of classes during the week in the Deepings and surrounding locations.

Day Time Location
Monday 7:00pm-8:00pm Arthur Mellows Village College
Tuesday 10:30am-11:30am The Deepings Community Centre
Wednesday 10:00am-11:00am Northborough Village Hall
Thursday 6:30pm-7:30pm Peakirk Village Hall
Thursday 7:45pm-8:45pm Peakirk Village Hall
Friday 10:00am-11:00am Northborough Village Hall

No session on Wednesday 25 January, apparently. Otherwise, for most up to date details, check out Siobhan’s site.

And if you’d like to combine dance with charity, Sat 4th Feb 2011 get down to the local 4 hour zumba marathon in Peterborough, raising money for Fight for Sight. Also on Facebook.

Its from 1pm to 5pm at the Kings School, Peterborough. There will be 9 instructors in total, with Siobhan doing her bit from 1.55-2.25pm.

There’s a £10 entry fee – or alternatively, you can join the event free is you raise £20 or more for the charity.
